Support

There are many ways to support the students at St. Joseph the Worker!

Winston Churchill said "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." We invite you to consider how a personal gift of your time, prayers, and support can make a difference in the lives of our students.

St. Joseph the Worker School depends on the generosity of its donors to keep the school affordable to so many in need. While sponsored by the Diocese of Allentown and supported by our Parish, tuition rates are not sufficient to cover all of the costs of our school. We are blessed by the generosity of so many who have given the gift of their time, talent, and financial resources to support our school.

ONLINE GIVING COMING SOON

Give to the Blue Knight Fund

Your tax-deductible gift will go a long way in assisting our families as they sacrifice to make this catholic education possible.  You will help us keep tuition affordable: keep our facilities up-to-date: keep our technology current: and keep our school the loving, safe, faith-filled environment it is. It’s easy to contribute to our Annual Fund and no gift is too small!

Gifts by credit card can be made securely on our website by clicking the “Make a Gift” button above. Gifts by check should be made payable to St. Joseph the Worker School, Blue Knight Fund and sent to 1858 Applewood Drive, Orefield, PA 18069.  Please do not send cash through the mail. We will be happy to issue a receipt for your gift.

Consider a Matching Gift

St. Joseph the Worker School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and many companies and corporate foundations match gifts to nonprofit institutions like ours. Matching gifts are a great way to increase support for the school without additional out-of-pocket expense. Matching gifts are a very important source of support.

You may be eligible to submit matching gift claims from both your own and your spouse’s employer for the same gift. Contact the human resources office at your employer, your spouse’s employer, or even your former employer, if you are retired, to inquire about their matching gift program. You may also contact our advancement office emaddock@stjw.org or 610.395.7221 ext. 303 should you be in need of any tax forms for this process.

Participate in our Scholarship Tax Credit Programs (EITC)

Did you know that you can direct 90% of your PA taxes due to St. Joseph the Worker School to provide student scholarships for families that could not otherwise afford this specialized education for their children? This is made possible by the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program! Instead of paying taxes to the state, you or your business makes a contribution through EITC, and receive a 90% tax credit (for a two-year commitment).

This program is open to businesses and qualified individuals. For an individual, he/she should meet one of the following criteria: a minimum income of $200,000 (in each of the two most recent tax years), OR a minimum joint income of $300,000 (in each of the two most recent tax years), OR a minimum net worth of $1,000,000.
